My
passion for photography started at a very young age and I must thank my
mother. There wasn't to much in my life as a youngster that wasn't
documented by photos.
As I grow older with my first real job I bought a Minolta 35mm and
the passion
was well on its way to what it has become today.
I took that camera with me everywhere and took photos every chance I
got. My biggest passion then and still today is taking photos at
my local dirt track races.
And with the help of my wife Michelle last year I purchased my first digital
camera from fellow photographer Mike Zortman, a Nikon D70s. The
package also came with some very nice lenses and a flash system. I've owned the camera for a little over a
year and have taken well over 10,000 photos. I still love the
thrill of shooting every weekend at the dirt tracks but I have been
expanding my photography skills to a broader range.
I am very interested in everything photography has to offer such as
landscape, wildlife, nature, family portraits, weddings and modeling
shoots. I one day hope to be able to become a full time
photographer and live every day behind the camera and lens.
Currently I am
self taught but am planning on attending courses at HACC and also get help along the way from fellow
photographers. When you shoot at
a track like Williams Grove, you are shooting weekly with some of the
best photographers around such as Zortman, Obst, or Roth as well as some
others and the insight they give is always right on and very helpful.
I am also very diverse with Adobe Photoshop which allows me the chance
to create that unique look to any photograph.
I feel if given the chance, I can create the perfect photos for every
client and situation.
Lookin' thru the lens,
Jason
